Week Thirty in Melbourne, my last working week.

This week was our last full week living here in Melbourne, it feels pretty bittersweet. We finally feel like we could leave here, and now we are leaving – but I guess that’s just typical, and the grass is always greener so we are taking the feelings with a pinch of salt. This time next week we’ll of started our Uluru Road Trip!

We headed into the city to help our friends get their bank accounts and Medicare set up. Its great being in a short 45 min walking distance from the city, especially when we can enjoy walking through the lovely Botanical Gardens.

A chill day, before the coming storm of moving out of Melbourne. I’ve been pretty stressed this week trying to get everything sorted for camping on our trip, booking our trip, dealing with moving out of Melbourne and still rounding up the last few things we have to get done here.

We headed into the city again to play Pokemon Go, a new legendary pokemon was realised to our side of the world so we spent the day walking around the city having a game day.

A pretty average day, finishing off some work before my final day freelancing for a company here in Melbourne.

My final day at work and I headed to the office to see everyone for the last time. They were even nice enough to take me out for some lunch.

After seven months in Melbourne, I’m glad I managed to find some continuous work for four months – it was quite a struggle at first to find somewhere longer term than just a week or two contract.

We headed to Lysterfield Park for a morning walk before going for a lunchtime curry. After a relaxing morning, we had to get some camping shopping done and ended up buying most of the stuff from a mixture of Kmart and Rays Camping Shop.

We met up with one of our friends we’ve met while here in Melbourne, it was the last time we’ll see him in a while so we made the most of the day by visiting +39 Pizzeria in Toorak – they do amazing pizzas, you should go if you’re in Melbourne!
